Privacy Policy

Last updated September 19, 2026

This policy explains how George Ayers — Artist & Atelier handles personal information through georgeayersartist.com, its shop, contact forms, and Studio Notes.

Contact

For questions about your information, email george@georgeayersartist.com. You can also write to George Ayers, 186 Seven Farms Dr, Suite F, Box 132, Daniel Island, SC 29492. This is a business mailing address; it is not a visitor location.

Information you provide

When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, message, and any other details you choose to provide. We use these to respond and handle your request. Please do not include payment-card details or sensitive personal information in a message.

When you order artwork or prints, the shop collects the information needed to process and fulfil your order, including your contact details, billing and shipping addresses, items ordered, and transaction information. An account, if you create one, also stores account and order details. We use this information for payment, delivery, customer service, recordkeeping, and fraud prevention.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Payment details are sent to the payment provider to complete the transaction and help prevent fraud. The shop receives payment status and transaction references. See Stripe’s privacy policy for information about its handling of payment data.

Studio Notes and Atelier Invitations

Signing up provides your email address and the mailing preferences you choose. We also keep subscription and confirmation records, delivery information, and technical information used to protect the form from abuse. The signup service can collect your browser’s time zone.

MailPoet manages the lists and delivers these emails. Studio Notes is the free mailing list; Atelier Invitations is a separate preference for membership news. A purchase or enquiry does not by itself request these newsletters. Confirm your email after signing up. You can unsubscribe or change your preferences using the links in each email.

Email open and click engagement tracking is currently disabled for Studio Notes. For more about the service provider, see MailPoet’s provider privacy notice. See also our Studio Notes privacy notice.

Cookies, hosting, and embedded services

WordPress and WooCommerce use cookies and similar storage for functions such as signing in, maintaining a shopping cart, and remembering session choices. Hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, and request times to deliver and protect the site. Our website is hosted by Kinsta.

Embedded Vimeo lessons connect to Vimeo, which can receive technical information and use cookies or similar technologies under its privacy policy. Following links to YouTube, social networks, galleries, or suppliers takes you to services with their own privacy practices. Some supplier links are affiliate links, and the destination or affiliate service may record a referral.

You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking functional cookies may prevent the cart, checkout, or account features from working.

Who receives information

Information needed to operate the site and serve customers is handled by service providers, including hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and shipping providers. Order delivery requires sharing relevant contact and address details with those fulfilling or carrying the shipment. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. Providers may process data in countries other than your own.

Retention and your choices

Customer, enquiry, and subscription records are kept for the purposes described above, including ongoing service, accounting, and legal obligations. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails; it does not automatically erase transaction records or the record needed to respect your unsubscribe request. Some records remain in backups until those backups expire.

You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity. Information required for legal, accounting, security, or transaction purposes may need to be retained. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to complain to your privacy regulator.

Updates

This policy will be updated when the site’s services or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
